The Perspectives Overnight Program is designed for high school seniors who may face barriers to affording a visit to campus—such as limited financial resources, attendance at rural or urban Title I schools, or being among the first in their family (excluding siblings) to attend college. All students with a genuine interest in 51С»Æ³µ are encouraged to apply.
This program is a key part of the College’s commitment to fostering access and opportunity. Our mission is to support students who have shown strong academic potential, a dedication to service, and a deep interest in the Jesuit values that define the 51С»Æ³µ experience. Participants will stay overnight at a local hotel with their guest, and have the opportunity to connect with current students on campus, experience campus life firsthand, and gain a deeper understanding of the vibrant and supportive 51С»Æ³µ community.
Students have the option to be considered for either program. If you are available for both dates and would like to be considered for either, please submit your application by the first deadline of July 17, 2025.
The United States has initiated a REAL ID requirement or Passport to travel. A regular driver license, school ID or any other identification will not be accepted at the airport for anyone who is 18+ and not traveling with a parent. Please plan accordingly.
No. It is a requirement to have a parent/guardian who is 25 years old+. Students and their guardians will be staying in a hotel, and that is the policy set forth by the hotel. A guardian can be an aunt, uncle, older cousin, older brother or sister, or community mentor (college counselor, coach, etc).
If you noted that you needed a grant on your application, you will be contacted to confirm your travel arrangements after the registration deadline. You do not have to complete a separate application.
The grant covers airfare, bus ticket or train ticket, as well as the hotel stay. It also includes transportation from and to the airport. Meals for all attendees will be provided throughout the event. The hotel is covered for all guests regardless if they receive travel assistance.

Students will receive a complete schedule via email, approximately one week before. See a summary of the schedule from last year. Schedules are subject to change.
Saturday: Check-in, Dinner, and Games. Options to attend the local Worcester Art Museum until 5pm and transportation to the Blackstone Valley Shoppes until 9:00 p.m.
Sunday: Fall Open House in the morning and connecting with current 51С»Æ³µ students in the afternoon. Guests will attend sessions regarding financial aid, campus life, and will have the opportunity to connect with current 51С»Æ³µ parents.
Monday (program ends at noon): Students will have the opportunity to shadow a student and attend classes. The day will conclude with lunch in Kimball Dining Hall. Guests will have the opportunity to take a campus tour and meet more campus partners during lunch.
The September Perspectives Program will run from September 26–28, 2025. The November Perspectives Program will run from November 7–9, 2025.
Check-in at the hotel begins on Saturday, November 9 at 4:00 p.m. Programming will conclude on Monday, November 11 at 12:00 p.m.
Yes. We utilize technology to provide translation in over 50 languages. We do ask all guests to come with headphones and a working cell-phone. Guests who need an ASL interpreter will have one scheduled for them. Students are asked to note this on their application.
Perspectives is a highly selective program with limited space and is not the sole pathway to admission. 51С»Æ³µ has a highly selective admissions process overall, with acceptance rates recently ranging from 17% to 21% for the most recent classes. There are many high-achieving students who are not admitted into the Perspectives Overnight Program that are admitted to 51С»Æ³µ. We still encourage you to engage through webinars and interviews and apply by the deadline that suits you best!
The 51С»Æ³µ Campus Visit includes a 30-minute information session followed by a one-hour student-led campus tour. Taking a campus tour is one of the best ways to discover what 51С»Æ³µ is all about. Our tour guides are familiar with every corner of our campus, and they'll give you the inside scoop on what it's like to live and learn here.
